Cape of Good Hope postcard. Battered as much travelled. Card depicts Ganloos, COGH. What a Christmas card! Sent from Port Elizabeth, No 25 1910 to Kalgoorlie, Western Australia – arrived late 3 Jan 1911 but was re-directed to Southern Cross, received 3 May 1911 but was unclaimed (purple cachet). On photograph it was stamped ‘Return Office Perth May 10 11’. Back to COGH, Cape tOwn. Returned letter Office received it Jy 12 1911. 39 days to Australia and 62 days back. Very interesting piece.
