New premises!

We are excited to announce that we, KJ Stamps have taken on our first shop premises in Petts Wood, Kent.

Work is currently being undertaken to redecorate the shop and fill it with our wide ranging stock, along with tea and coffee!

Further details will follow, but we are hoping to be open for customers at the beginning of May.

UPDATE – As with most things, it is taking us a little longer to get everything organised, so our open date has been pushed back – to hopefully the end of May.

Fundraising News

Thank you to all our March 2025 stamp fair customers, who helped raise the sum of £81.00 by purchasing raffle tickets for our Easter Egg raffle. This money was donated to Christ Lutheran Church, whose hall we hold our fair in.

PTS News

In Autumn 2024, we were presented with our 15 year membership badge by the Philatelic Traders Society (PTS).

We are currently in the process of uploading our June auction lots. 

ALL Auction items can be viewed in person at the Orpington Stamp and Postcard fair, from 10am to 1.45pm, on the day the next Auction finishes – Saturday, 21st June 2025 AND once our shop is open, viewing by appointment at our shop.

All items will be sent either between card or in bubble wrap to protect during posting.

Ebay Seller news.

Please take a look at our Ebay seller site: keithstamps5000 for a further selection of stamps (singles, pages, collections), covers, postcards, presentation packs, second hand stock books and many other philatelic items.

From 4th February 2025 Ebay have introduced a Buyer Protection Fee to every private, lot listed.

This buyer fee is 0.75p, plus 4% of the final selling cost.

As the majority of our items start from £1, we are utilising our Buy it now section of the website more, to make this more cost effective for us and to keep our selling prices low for you.

ALL our Buy it Now items can be viewed in person at the Orpington stamp and postcard fair – the next fair being Saturday, 21st June 2025, from 10am to 4pm AND, once our shop is open, you are more than welcome to visit and view all items on our website. This will be by appointment, due to the size of the shop.

Simon Goldblatt QC (Dec’d) estate

Since late 2022, we have made a very slow start in sorting out the enormous range of material that belonged to Simon Goldblatt QC. The contents of his flat have filled two storage units and our office and it will take many years of patient reviewing of several million stamps and philatelic material to be able to present these at auction. However, we have made a start and each of our auctions in the future will contain a greater proportion of his collection.

Orpington stamp and postcard fair (with online website auction)

KJ Stamps also attend and run the Orpington Stamp and postcard fair in Kent.

Our fairs are held five times a year, at Christ Lutheran Church hall, 227 Poverest Road, Orpington, BR5 1RD. Entry is free and the fair is open 10am to 4pm, refreshments are available. 

We have regular dealers, such as Tom Lawson stamps, David Ager and Dave Crittenden, who stock a wide range of stamps, collections, postcards and philatelic materials.

Our current auction and buy it now items can be viewed in person at the fair, before the online auction concludes at 2pm.

Saturday 15th November – with Pudsey Bear Children in Need cake sale
